Prepped for the Next Question: Turning a Subscription Business’s Own History Into Answers
Case and Challenge:
At MegaFit Meals, subscriptions come first. Customers choose their meals and a delivery rhythm, and from then on they renew, pause, skip, cancel and sometimes return. Nearly every question the business asks is a subscription question: what drove this month’s revenue, who stays, how soon people come back, which channels bring the subscribers who last.
The answers were already in the store’s records. What hadn’t been built yet was a way to reach them. Orders back to 2015 were split between the live store and an archive. The business could see its totals but not what moved underneath them, and each new question meant a fresh export. And gathering the whole history in one place would gather years of customers’ personal details with it, just as MegaFit was adopting a three-year retention policy.
The opportunity was to let the store answer for itself: from its own records, in a way anyone could check, without the personal details.
Client: MegaFit Meals
Project Type: Commerce analytics and reporting, ongoing since January 2025
More Info:
MegaFit needed straight answers to its subscription questions, from its own records, without starting over each time. As its retention policy came in, it also needed a history that kept to it.
